Plot & Summary
Director Paolo Virzi explores through the eyes of Martha the uncertainty of the future for young people. It does so in a darkish comedy. The characters are complex, tender, fierce and comic at once. The women really shine. From Marta’s smarts, Sonia’s lustfulness, and Daniela’s delusions, their portrayals were pitch-perfect.It’s another film where you could in insert the term Generazione 1000 euro. Marta is paid less than 400 Euros a month for working a a half day shift. Her shift is constructed in a way where it pays zero to minimum benefits while taking advantage of its workforce.
