Plot & Summary

In this movie tale of love and bullfighting, Adrien Brody stars as legendary Spanish matador, Manolete, and Penélope Cruz as his tempestuous girlfriend Lupe Sino. It portrays really well the world of bullfighting of 1940s Spain. And the story is not as much about bullfighting, but more about the battle between humans. It intertwines beautifully the passion of two lovers with the love of a man for his art. Penelope did a great job as the 1940s modern woman surrounded by a world of tradition and superstition. Great editing and camera work.
